Olympics 2012

We did the new indoor games, have you heard of them? Probably not. We started with the straw high jump, we saw this first on Pinterest. Then we move on to the high, high pillow jump. Then came the arguing over scores, which ended the games for the day. What a silly day!

Cleaning the Oven

Why did I JUST think about this? I put my drip trays in the oven during the cleaning cycle in my oven.At the end I wiped them out and the look like new!I had been scrubbing them for years! Just to let you know a tiny bit of paint chipped off.I am glad for the light bulb moment!

Soap Cloud

This was so much fun!We took a bar of Ivory soap and cut it into 4 pieces and microwaved it on high for a minute and a half.We cut ours into four just so everyone had a turn. For more info on this go to
I love my Pinterest board!

We are going to try to make laundry soap out of our "cloud",I will let you know how it goes :)

Weekend Project

We had a really nice ottoman that our dogs and kids destroyed!so we decided to redo it.We took off the legs and took off the old fabric.Put on the new and done! 20 minute project and now it looks like new! We even got the new fabric on sale for 5 dollars! Much better price then replacing the whole thing!

Summer Fun 2011

Last summer we made this "Kid Wash". It was a blast! I thought I would show it to everyone now so you have time to collect what you need to make this, that took us the most time.Putting the whole thing together was just a few hours. The bad thing is we have to remake one this year.We did not have any where to store it so it sat in the weather and broke. If anyone has ideas on making it so it can be taken apart, please let us know!

Easter Eggs
This was a great idea for letting the Easter eggs dry.Washed right out also!

Something Fun

This was a fun cake one of my kids wanted for their birthday. It is called a Bunny Butt cake. You guessed it their birthday was near Easter! If I was to do it again I would do a few things differently. I would make a much bigger cupcake for the tail; maybe even use a small dish instead of a cupcake pan. The recipe calls for a large marshmallows for the heels of the bunny, I would say if you can find the jumbo ones (Wal-Mart) use them, it will show better. And the last thing that I would change, I would not have tried to make our bunny so pink (we dyed the coconut) we should have followed the directions. Live and learn! FYI we used fruit roll ups for the feet and carrots.

Over all this was a fun project and it was yummy too!
